My mid week big run should be on a Wed but with a really bussy week planed I decided to do it on a Tuesday as I was off work and head out into the Peak District. Were I was greated with think fog and drilizing rain. Theres not a great deal of ascent on this run but the ascent from Grindleford Train Station all the way up on to Mills Edge was a killer really made my legs burn but this is what I need to get my legs ready for the Lake District.

Set off at a really good pace and was supprised just how well I covered the first 3 miles but was shocked with a 16 min mile I don't think I have ever gone that slow over a mile and haven't got a clue how this happened. When I was out running I never semt to be going that slow. But I got the rest of the run back on track and was really happy to get my average min/miles under 10 min somthing I have been trying to do for a while. So it looks like everything is going in the rite direction.

I great run apart from the two cow fields I had to go through, but I just ran a lot quicker through them. Was a great week for getting out into the hills out of the 40 miles a ran this week 32 of them was in the Peak District witch will help getting my legs ready. My plan is know my average min miles in the Peak District is under 10 min I want to keep all my runs under this pace and improve on this.

A trip report on this run will follow very soon. At the end of my 3 week training block I set my self a challenge run and this was my second one todate. I worked hard on this run knocking 20 min off my 20 mile time.
